Happy Friday everyone. I’m so ready for the weekend.
This has been a big week for me in some ways. God is shaping my vision for Living with Power and you are all a part of it.
First let me announce the winner of this week’s $25 gift card is: Kathy Lukav! Email me at lina@livingwithpower.org to claim your gift.
Second I happen to have 2 CD’s by my friend Lindsay McCaul who just released her first album this week. I would love to give them away to the first 2 people who email me at lina@livingwithpower.org. Lindsay also leads worship at my church Harvest Bible Chapel so many of the readers of this blog know her too!
Third let me bring you up to speed on what I’m doing with your comments on Friday!
- I’m putting away $5/comment posted towards a LWP (Living with Power) fund to be used to meet needs.
- I’m dividing up needs into 4 categories: Scholarship, Urgent Care, Missions, Social Issues. More on this later.
- As the fund grows you will be able to email me any needs you come across and we will pray God directs me to give wisely as he blesses my life through you.
All this to say: Friday is your chance to contribute towards this benevolence fund simply by leaving a comment! You raised $250 last week!
I also just filed for 501c3 status for Living with Power Ministries. All proceeds from any of my book sales or speaking engagements will go towards this fund. I’m not sure what God intends to do with this ministry or how, but I am doing what I can with what I have where I am.
I don’t get paid to blog, and I’m not widely read enough yet to attract any advertisers. I’m also too busy to seek them out! I’m not asking you to give towards this fund. Honestly, I just appreciate your support and help in shaping some of the initial stages of the work God has for me to do in my life.
If you go to a church that hosts women’s events, think of me as a possible speaker for your next event. If you’re looking for a good solid Bible study, consider my studies of Luke and Acts.
Lastly – tell your friends about my blog. Encourage them to subscribe. All you have to do is click here or on the icon at the top of the page. I’m still going to give away my ipad when I reach 1000 subscribers. I’m well over half way at this point.
And keep reading and commenting on the blog. It encourages me and prods me to keep on going!
