God Does Not Lie

“God is not man, that he should lie, or a son of man, that he should change his mind.  Has he said, and will he not do it? or has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it?” (Numbers 23:19)

It gives me great comfort to know that God cannot lie. It gives me great comfort to know that God does not lie.

Every word he says is true. Every promise He gives will come to pass. Can you even wrap your mind around that?

That means when he promises that all things work together for good to those who love God (Romans 8:28), well, then he means it.

And it means that when he says that he who began a good work in you will perform it in Jesus Christ (Phil 1:6), well, then He will finish his work in you.

And when he says that if you confess your sin He is faithful and just to forgive you your sins. Well, then, do it. The moment you confess is the moment he forgives.

Or how about when he says that you are not to worry about anything but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving to let your requests be known unto God and the peace of God which surpasses all understanding will keep your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Phil 4:8), well, he’s not joking.

And when he says that he will supply all your need according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Phil 4:19)….Ha! he means it. he’s gonna do it.

I don’t care how old the verse is or how often you’ve used it already, Every word of God is true. He is a God who cannot lie. stake your claim in his promises today and let them fill your life with joy and the certainty that He has a purpose and a plan for your life.

Yes. Yours!
