Celebrating…me.

First things first. Every Friday I have a random drawing from my email subscriber list.

Moving on to more important things. Today is my birthday, not that you wouldn’t have guessed from my 375 announcements previously made on this topic. Someone has to celebrate me I guess.

Many of you have already wished me a happy birthday. Thanks. If you haven’t, feel free to leave me a comment below. Anyway, I thought I’d leave you 39 random facts about me in celebration of…me.

1. Kindergarten: the grade I skipped.

2. Away in a manger: the song I refused to sing in front of an audience in 5th grade. Very good call on my behalf.

3. 2: number of times I’ve been engaged.

4. 431: number of days since my last date (not that I’m counting).

5. Hilarious: my favorite word.

6. Twitter: my second favorite word (follow me @Linamay).

7. 5: lowest I’ve ever paid for a pair of shoes not a flip flop.

8. 1987: the year my family moved from Beirut to Green Bay. Don’t ask why.

9. 4299: the number of times people have asked…why?!

10. Gosh darn it: my new favorite expression.

11. 1: only “C” I got in College in genetics. I’m still bitter about it.

12. 34: C’s I got in medical school (ok, I’m exaggerating, but close).

13. Jon Acuff: my muse. All my great ideas come from him.

14. Beth: my Christian Oprah. Although I beat that horse to the ground yesterday.

15. 93: number of times I’ve thought of quitting my job.

16. 1: the number of times I did quit a job – at Starbucks in 2000.

17. Pretty Darn Good: my ranking as a barista at Starbucks.

18. ADD: letters that come to mind when you first meet me.

19. Freshly squeezed orange juice: a staple in my fridge. (Be forewarned: single people drink from the carton)

20. Cheese: only other staple in my fridge.

21. 8: my weekly grocery budget.

22. 50: my weekly starbucks budget.

23. 3: number of regular commentators on my blog.

24. Beaming: how I feel every time someone leaves me a comment on my blog.

25. 99: how much I paid for 2500 twitter followers once. Brilliant.

26. Hawaii: where I’d rather be today.

27. Elgin: where I’m going instead.

28. Yikes: a very descriptive word I use frequently throughout a day.

29. 4: the number of times I’ve been called “Dr.AbuJamra”.

30. I be jammin: phonetic way to say my name.

31. 12: the longest stretch of days I’ve gone on a diet.

32. Rocky Road: my favorite ice cream flavor (although it’s quite descriptive of my love life too).

33. 7: the amount of money I spent on flowers and a magazine after my very first pay check. I felt flush.

34. 20: cost of a Portillo’s chocolate cake. My favorite.

35. eharmony: the reason I’m no longer sad about being single at 39.

36. 9: the number of times my nephews have asked me when I’m getting married.

37. 4: the number of times I’ve responded.

38. 1: how many frogs I need to turn into a prince for me to fall in love and get married.

39. Priceless: the feeling of gratitude and love I feel for every time one of you reads my blog!
