Get a load of this list.

Have you ever heard of any of these guys before?

Apollos.

Stephanas.

Achaicus.

Artemas.

Tychicus.

Priscilla.

Acquila.

Barnabas.

Every one of the names on this list is mentioned in the Word of God. Every one of the names on this list was listed by the apostle Paul as encouragers, fellow workers, fellow prisoners, and people who made his life and ministry possible.

There will always be only one Paul. But for every apostle Paul there are myriads of followers of Jesus Christ who walk alongside him and make his life and ministry possible.

Are you guilty of feeling under-recognized, unappreciated, little known?

Take heart. Your name may be on someone else’s list. Without you, somewhere, somehow, a great work of God could not be accomplished. Without you, someone, somewhere may flounder.

God gave you today. Make the most of it, and leave the outcome to Him.

    Thank you for truth of God’s word today, God did give me today and I’m going to do my best to make the most of it. I was reading Psalm 27:13-14 this morning and it was talking about
    I believe that I shall look upon fthe goodness of the Lord
    in the land of the living! Wait for the Lord;
    be strong, and let your heart take courage;
    wait for the Lord!

    What great truth is in this and the fact that one of the apostle wrote this! The only list I want to be on is the Lord’s list.

      Amber- you’re messing up my world with this early comment entry. I’m going to have an upside down day and I’ll have to blame you for it:):)

      You better have something to say at around 1030pm to set things back in order for me.

        Ok, I have something to say LOL!

        Sometime you just need your world turned upside down so God can work. Today was the first day in about a week I didn’t just cry about every little thing. God is test me in ever part of my life and I’m holding on for life. For some reason this morning I had time to comment on your blog. I think about all the list I make for myself every day and then ask the Lord to have his hand over it. Thank you for bring truth to the web every day.

    Excellent. Never look for results. Do the job of telling, encouraging, passing the word willingly and obediently. Do. Not expect results or recognition. Let Him see and reward. May God encourage you as you continue serving Hima

    Great Encouragement! Thank you

    Well said. Our pride may get in the way, but it is often better to be a believer that flies under the radar. I say, the less recognition the better. Not necessarily easier, but better.

    This was so humbling! That God may choose to use us(the broken ones) to be on “someone’s list”. Wow. We can only be one because of Him, and through Him and ultimately it is for Him. Not about us, and ALL about HIM. He could do it differently, but this is how He wants it. One of those mysteries…..thank you Lina.

    Thanks for this. My roommate in college used to call me her Barnabas, but while I’m getting older, I noticed I desire more recognition at work, more words of affirmation, more credit where it’s due. I’ve been reminded this summer that I’m ultimately a servant on this earth and do not need man’s words to confirm that I’m doing a good job. It’s a bit of a struggle for me to stay humble and let others take the spotlight and credit, but I know that everything I do in my worklife, I should be doing it as for Christ.
