I am an unabashed fan of plastic surgery.

There are many reasons for my appreciation of it.
That it put me through school and fed me growing up is a huge swaying factor. But regardless of my father’s career choice, I believe that plastic surgery is a really good thing. So is personal hygiene and getting dressed with new clothes when your old ones become ragged. And I like make-up in moderate amounts. Sit ups I don’t particularly care for but love the results – though I won’t be caught dead doing them regularly – which is why I prefer spanx.
If there’s an easy way to look good, I’ll take it, though there rarely is.
So after a few weeks of hard work and perseverance, I’ve finally given my website a much needed facelift. There were times it wasn’t pretty – trying to figure out what to nip where and where to tuck what. There were times it wasn’t easy – my designer guy Tom McFarlin can attest to that after the deluge of emails he’s received from me, but the results speak for themselves.
I wanted to share with you these thoughts regarding makeovers.
1. Everyone needs a make over at some point. It’s true. Things get old and sag. Wrinkles appear out of nowhere. What used to look fresh now looks dated. You get it. My old site needed a re-do and I hope you enjoy this new look.
2. Make-overs only change the outside. The content is still the same. The site will still provide daily Biblical insights for everyday living. I will just provide these insights in a much prettier and easy to use package!
3. Not everyone will notice or care. It’s true. You could be killing yourself at the gym, and your great Aunt Myrtle won’t even give a hoot. But you will look at yourself in the mirror naked and appreciate every drop of sweat. So it is with this site. I love it. I hope you do too.
Let me point out just a few items on the site that may help you get oriented:
1. It is blogger friendly. You will find the daily post quite easily on the main page. You will also be able to browse every post I’ve ever written in the archives section. I’ve used a numbering system that I believe works.
2. It is mobile friendly. If you use a smart phone you will love how the site translates into it. Word press does a great job with it, and here again, if it works, I’ll take it!
3. It is comment friendly. You will be able to leave comments from anywhere in the world. So, my smart phone reader friends, no more excuses for not leaving comments! This is your chance to unleash your hidden critic!
I think that covers it all. I’m still tweaking some features in the archives section and the media section. Keep checking for new stuff. I’m finishing up a recipe book and a poetry book that you’ll be able to purchase soon.
Finally, thank you so much for reading. I appreciate every one of you. You have encouraged me to continue writing and put the time and effort to grow in an area that I love so much. No words can express my deep love and appreciation for you.
Let me know what you think of the new site and any features you would like to see added or changed in the comments section below.
