Why do so many Christians—and Christian leaders in particular—experience sexual failure?
Can a follower of Jesus be holy in a culture that isn't?
When will we stop pointing fingers at each other and admit we are just as broken and desperate as everyone else?
Don't Tell Anyone You're Reading This
RELEASES OCTOBER 3!
In Don’t Tell Anyone You’re Reading This: A Christian Doctor’s Thoughts on Sex, Shame, and Other Troublesome Issues, Dr. Lina AbuJamra gives a refreshing and honest look at what it’s like to struggle with sexual temptation and shame and how the Church can better support Christians and communities in these challenging and often avoided topics.
In a memoir-like style, Lina shares her own struggle with sexual temptation with openness and vulnerability. She offers hope and encouragement while also providing an in-depth look at the heart of the problem of sexual sin. Lina gets real about the excuses we make and the lies we tell ourselves even when our behaviors point to a larger problem.
This is a no-holds-barred discussion on why Christians still struggle with sexual sin and how to change. This is a talk about sex in a very practical and real way that will finally lead us to freedom. Most importantly, you’ll see that despite our constant failures as humans, Jesus doesn’t ask us to be perfect. He just asks us to be His.
What people are saying
If you're about to explode inside because it's getting harder and harder to keep pretending that you're more virtuous and decent than you actually are, then open up this volume and get ready to be relieved because you are not alone in your sexual plight.

This is by far the best book I have read on this volatile topic. I trust the author because I have heard her speak and teach from the Bible. She is the real deal. And she is the real deal in the pages of this book. I highly recommend.
Tatianna, Green Bay, WI, 32, Single, SSA
Nice, short, and sweet chapters. Really easy to read and engage with the writer and her topics – sex always seems so taboo for most Christians, and she makes it something that we SHOULD talk about. What a great book!
Kristell, Philadelphia, PA, 41, Divorced
I’m loving the transparency and rawness in this book. It represents a struggle that we all deal with in our minds. I want what I want – I’m sorry because I love God and I’m disappointing Him – but I’m sad that I’ve obeyed and sacrificed and life isn’t what it was supposed to be, and that makes me want to just do what the hell I want to because why not… but... there’s that conviction again. The topics addressed resonate and reach further than just one situation.
April, Nashville, TN, 54, Married
The author is a doctor, a virgin, living her faith out in modern 21st century America where we are bombarded by sex in every imaginable way – on my iPhone, my tablet, the magazines, the books, the binging we do. Come on, it’s just hard to avoid and so the shame is there. The whispering is very real. This book helps you get to the root cause and honestly talk about sex as Christians and as normal as breathing air. Good stuff here.
Brock, Fort Lauderdale, FL, 34, Dating
Amazingly real. Nothing is not talked about and it’s a genuine voice, with some good biblical insight and a faith walk you can appreciate. One of the best books on the topic of sex for my generation.
